Terence Durkin of the Kitch firm’s Detroit office was appointed as a trustee by the Providence Health Foundation Board of Trustees on June 29, 2017. According to the Foundation, St. John Providence Foundation is dedicated to the healing mission of St. John Providence. The Foundation coordinates fundraising for the health system, its entities and programs, and offers ways to invest in medical excellence and the future health of the community.

Terence Durkin is a principal with the firm. His practice focuses on defense of hospitals and healthcare providers in professional malpractice litigation. He joined the firm in 2002, after clerking for the Honorable Thomas S. Eveland of the 56th Circuit Court. Mr. Durkin received his B.A. in political science from Millikin University and his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he was Article Editor of the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law.

He is a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary for the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, where he has chaired various sections and events. He is also an active member of the Plymouth Rotary Club and provides pro bono services to the Federal Court in Southeast Michigan.
