On March 28, 2006, Mark Wisniewski, head of the Kitch firm’s mass tort litigation practice, testified before the Michigan Senate Judiciary Committee regarding Senate Bill No. 1123.

This bill would amend the Judiciary Act of 1961 and add provisions regarding asbestos- and silica-related personal injury actions. Specifically, the bill would require persons exposed to asbestos or silica to meet certain medical criteria before they would be able to assert a claim. With over 15 years of wide-ranging experience in asbestos litigation, Mr. Wisniewski was able to provide the committee with both a local and national perspective regarding asbestos personal injury actions.

Mr. Wisniewski is also scheduled to testify before the Michigan House of Representatives regarding the House companion bill, House Bill 5851.
