On February 4, 2021, USCIS announced that the H-1B Selection final rule, which amended the H-1B selection process to be conducted on a wage based system, would be postponed until December 31, 2021. USCIS has intended for this delay to provide the agency more time to train staff and perform public outreach as well as give stakeholders time to adjust to the new rule.

Therefore, for the upcoming 2022 H-1B cap season, USCIS will continue to randomly select registrations based on the lottery system. The registration period will open March 1, 2021 and will be open through March 20, 2021. Should you have any potential H1B candidates, please reach out to our office by Monday February 22, 2021 to let us know if you would like to apply for an employee under this H1B cap season.
