On April 24, 2020 Governor Whitmer issued a revised stay at home order that will be in effect through May 15, 2020, unless otherwise revised.
The order still says it must be construed broadly to prohibit in-person work that is not necessary to sustain or protect life. The critical infrastructure workers remain the same but now there are workers who can perform “resumed activities” and they are:
For businesses that have in person workers, the business must prohibit gatherings where people cannot maintain a 6-foot distance from one another, they must provide personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, face shields and masks appropriate for the activity being performed, adopt protocols to limit the sharing of tools and equipment and ensure frequent cleaning of tools, equipment and frequently touched surfaces.
The order also now allows for traveling between residences, boating and golfing.
The order requires, rather than just encourages, people to wear face coverings when shopping.
